Brother Terence McLaughlin celebrated his 75-year Jubilee as a De La Salle Christian Brother at the Midwest District Day at Lewis University on July 25. Brother Terence is a former president and trustee of CBU and the author of numerous books on Lasallian topics and CBU history. George Eason (Chemical Engineering/Physics ’17) was selected by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers national “Featured Student for August 2015.”
Dr. Juan Carlos Olabe (Electrical & Computer Engineering) presented the paper entitled “HelloScratchJr.org: Curricular Design and Assessment Tools to Foster the Integration of ScratchJr and Computational Thinking into K-2 Classrooms”, at the 7th International Scratch Conference held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, August 12-15. This research project received funding from the University of the Basque Country (www.ehu.eus) and from the Summer Faculty Development Grants of the School of Engineering at CBU.
Dr. Ali Pourhashemi (Chemical Engineering) served on the Editorial Advisory Board of the book Research Methodology in Physics and Chemistry of Surfaces and Interfaces, recently published by Apple Academic Press.
