Upcoming Events

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION: The last session of Freshman Orientation, welcoming the Class of 2019, is Thursday, July 30 through Friday, July 31. Their busy schedules will include sessions to inform them about CBU services and resources, group academic advising, placement tests, class scheduling, and LOTS more!

COMMUNITY CONVOCATION: The annual pre-semester meeting of all faculty and staff will be held Thursday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m. in the University Theater with reports from the CBU Administration and recognition of faculty/staff service. Faculty meetings will follow in the afternoon.

WELCOME (BACK) WEEKEND: The 2015-16 academic year begins at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21 when the resident students of the Class of 2019 starts moving into the residence halls. All first-year freshmen are required to attend, and parents are strongly encouraged to join their students. You’ll have an opportunity to learn more about campus, give back to the community, enjoy activities and start building lifelong friendships. Upperclassmen will be welcomed back to campus on Saturday, August 22. A tentative schedule of events is available at cbu.edu/welcome-back-weekend.

OPENING RECEPTION FOR NICK 
PEÑA EXHIBITION:
Crosscut,” an exhibition of paintings by CBU’s own Nick Peña (Visual & Performing Arts) will open with a public reception on Friday, August 21 in the Beverly & Sam Ross Gallery, 5:30-7:30 p.m. The exhibition will continue through October 8 in the gallery and foyer, which is located on the lower level of Plough Library.
