CBU COLLECTION FEATURED:
The Beverly and Sam Ross Studio Glass Collection at CBU is featured in an article in the current issue of Glass Quarterly. GLASS Quarterly is an art magazine published four times a year by UrbanGlass in Brooklyn, NY. Entitled “In Perpetuity,” the article by William Ganis discusses gifts of glass collections to major art museums across the country. CBU is the only university collection included in the survey. Click here for a PDF of the full article.

GRANT FOR ENGINEERING:  CBU received a $14,477 grant from the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners, as announced by the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance on April 27. The grant was awarded to the School of Engineering to be utilized to purchase a horizontal band saw, materials testing equipment, a glass digital temperature controller, microprocessor stations, and flowmeters.

ARCHBISHOP SPEAKS AT CBU: CBU hosted the 2015 Lumen Civitatis Speaker Series on April 28, featuring Archbishop J. Augustine Di Noia, O.P., a key contributor to the magisteriums of both Pope John Paul II and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. Archbishop Di Noia spoke on the legacy of Pope St. John Paul II. Di Noia is pictured below with CBU President John Smarrelli and Brother Dominic Ehrmantraut.
