War and Cooking — In Europe!

Explore the history of World War I in Paris, the City of Lights, and Belgium for spring break 2016!  
Visit battle sites and Meaux Museum to learn about WWI. There are several history courses offered by Dr. Neal Palmer including HIST 339 (Europe and the Great War), HIST 108 (History since 1500), and an Honors course (Remembering WWI). While learning about WWI, experience the culture of France and Belgium. Explore both countries and see the Louvre, Galeries Lafayette, Notre Dame Cathedral, Left Bank/Latin Quarter, or even take a cruise down the Seine River. This trip is open to all students, and it fulfills General Education requirements.

Another great option is to learn chemistry in the kitchen with Chemistry 105: Chemistry of Cooking in San Sebastian, Spain. San Sebastian is one of Europe’s top culinary cities. If you love to cook and eat this is the trip for you. Study chemistry principles with Dr. Anthony Trimboli, including in-depth hands-on experience in the classroom and kitchen. While you are there, do not forget to visit numerous sites like the Bay of Biscay, tapas bars, Casa de la Historia Museum, and more!
