Bouquets of Hope

Students from the CBU Nursing Program have been helping Catholic Charities of West Tennessee with a project called Bouquets of Hope, wherein flowers donated from events are repurposed to be delivered to nursing homes. Nursing students assisted in devising a flower-drying system, and the results were given to hard-to-employ Catholic Charities along with glue guns and ribbons, and they began to make beautiful, handcrafted ornaments, wreaths, and potpourri. Floral arrangements from just one wedding, funeral, corporate function, or special event can provide over 40 smiles in bouquet form to appreciative recipients. Each repurposed bouquet is as unique as the volunteer or client who made it and is guaranteed to brighten someone’s day.  Donations to support the Bouquets of Hope project are being accepted through a GoFundMe fundraiser
