——————————————————————BGC1214BLACK GIRLS CODE: The CBU School of Engineering hosted the Black Girls CODE Memphis Chapter “Build a Game in a Day” workshop for girls ages 7-17 on December 6. This workshop focused on game development using Scratch (http://scratch.mit.edu/), a programming project spearheaded by the MIT Media Lab. Taught by Scratch expert Dr. Juan Carlos Olabe (Electrical & Computer Engineering), the workshop was geared towards introducing participants to animation, gaming, and creating interactive stories.
