THEATRE AUDITIONS: Theatre auditions for the Southern farce, Dearly Departed by David Botrelle and Jessie Jones, will be September 15 and September 16 in the University Theater at 6:00 p.m. Not since Steel Magnolias and Greater Tuna has a more colorful and dysfunctional group of Southern eccentrics gathered below the Mason-Dixon line. When the patriarch of the Turpin family keels over dead in the first scene, the struggle to get him buried involves the whole clan, including the not-so-grieving widow who wants to put “Mean and Surly” on the tombstone. For more information about the play and rehearsals, contact Matthew Hamner at mhamner@cbu.edu.

THE CANNON BALL CONCERT: 
CBU’s first Cannon Ball is a concert event featuring country music star Ben Bradford and local rock group Fingertrick. Open to CBU students and high-school seniors. The Cannon Ball will also host several local food trucks! Saturday, September 27, 7:00-10:00 p.m. at Nolan Field and the Gazebo area. 

KATY PERRY CONCERT: The Prismatic World Tour is the third concert tour by American singer Katy Perry, in support of her fourth studio album, Prism. Join your CBU friends at the FedEx Forum for a spectacular show that  is designed to be a “multi-faceted spectacular” and will include a special standing pit around the stage called “The Reflection Section” that will allow Katy to be “closer than ever to her fans.
