The Counseling Center and Student Life invite faculty, staff, and students to join us for a Relaxation Workshop facilitated by Dr. Pong Malasri, CBU Professor of Civil Engineering. Come to Sabbatini Lounge on Monday, November 18 at 1:00 p.m. to break and meditate. Covering a variety of topics and approaches, the focus will be on specific techniques and guided meditation in hopes of putting YOU to sleep. Nap time never sounded so good…

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE: The Intramural Office in Student Life is hosting a Humans vs. Zombies game at CBU from Wednesday, November 20 until Monday, November 25. Humans vs. Zombies (HvZ) is a game of tag played at schools, camps, neighborhoods, military bases, and conventions across the world. Human players must remain vigilant and defend themselves to avoid being tagged by a growing zombie horde. More info at humansvszombies.org The basic premise of the CBU game is that students are trying to avoid being tagged by other students (zombies) and to survive the apocalypse.  There will be various missions and goals that all players would need to accomplish as well as an elaborate storyline written and executed by students during this game. Anyone interested in participating can sign up online and join the CBU game at www.hvzsource.com/cbu/

Wes_Moore• WES MOORE AT CBU:  The CBU Fresh Reads program, in partnership with the Commercial Appeal and Facing History and Ourselves and through a sponsorship by International Paper, will host Wes Moore in the University Theater on Thursday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. Moore is the author of this year’s Fresh Reads selection, The Other Wes Moorewhich tells the true story of two kids with same name, living in similar family situations in similar rough neighborhoods. One grew up to be a Rhodes Scholar, decorated combat veteran, White House Fellow, and business leader. The other is serving a life sentence in prison for felony murder. More info>>>
