CONSTITUTION DAY: CBU celebrates US Constitution Day with a brown-bag roundtable discussion, “Why We Need A Constitution,” on September 17, 12:30-1:30pm, in Kenrick 200. As the public and government officials debate policy and questions of war and peace, we ask how the Constitution is still relevant. Do we still need it, and if so why is it still important? Everyone is welcome! Questions about Constitution Day may be sent to Dr Karl Leib at kleib@cbu.edu.

trivia_tvALUMNI TRIVIA NIGHT: Alumni Trivia Night with Brother Ignatius is back! Join the Alumni Association on Friday, September 20 in Alfonso Dining Hall. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the first question is fired off at 7:30 p.m. BYOB/BYOF (food and drink); free soft drinks and bar snacks will be available. Teams are comprised of 6-8 people. Community tables will be available for individuals and walk-ins. All members of first and second place teams will receive prizes. Pre-register your team on or before September 18 for $15 per person; after September 18, registration is $20 per person. CBU students can register for $5 per person. All proceeds benefit the National Alumni Association Scholarship. • COMMUNITY CONVERSATION WITH THE PRESIDENT: The next Community Conversation with the President for faculty and staff is Thursday, October 31 in the University Theater, 12:45-1:30 p.m. No agenda will be formulated. Dr. Smarrelli hopes to use this as an opportunity to discuss matters of relevance,  large and small, in an informal setting.

 PRIVATE EYES: The CBU Theatre production of Steven Dietz’ Private Eyes will be staged October 31-November 2 at 7:30 p.m. and November 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the University Theater. Private Eyes is a comedic roller-coaster ride between truths and lies, filled with surprises and misdirection. The audience itself plays the role of detective in this hilarious relationship thriller about love and the power of deception. Click here for a synopsis. The cast includes Nic PicouChelsea SmithersAlani Lee DeniseKierra Turner and Cale BaskinSeating is limited and reservations must be made in order to guarantee seating.  Students, staff and faculty of CBU will receive an email link for reservations.
