STEMM Co-LaB Launches

stemm_501CBU and Christian Brothers High School kicked off a new program with a workshop at CBU on October 31. The new program, in conjunction with the CBU-CBHS collaborative STEMM Co-LaB , is a teacher-training program on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine (STEMM) education theory and practice and its applicability across all disciplines of instruction. Dr. Angela Moran, Professor of Mechanical Engineering & STEM Program Director, United States Naval Academy, was the keynote speaker for the workshop. CBU’s Education Department is offering a graduate certificate program in STEMM Education, which includes the study of STEMM teaching principles, project-based learning methods, collaborative learning and assessment, and a focus on integration of mathematics and computer programming skills.
